AI & Automation

AI and automation that take the repetitive work off your plate

We design, build and run practical AI and automation for Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset businesses — and we run the same systems in our own company every day. Describe the job that eats your week — whether you’re a one-person business or a team of twenty — and we’ll tell you honestly whether AI can do it. Just curious about AI at home? Our free AI for Beginners course was written for you.

/01 — THE SAME LOCAL TEAM THAT LOOKS AFTER YOUR IT

The same local team that looks after your IT

365 Techies is a family-run IT support business, trading in Bournemouth since 1995, with a 4.9-star Google rating. We’re a Microsoft Partner and a Victron Recommended Software Integrator, and every AI system we build is supported by the same local team that looks after your computers, email and network — not a faceless platform. We serve Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the wider Dorset area, and work remotely UK-wide where that suits.

/02 — START WITH THE PROBLEM, NOT THE TECHNOLOGY

Start with the problem, not the technology

You don’t need to know what an “AI agent” is to talk to us. Find the problem that sounds like yours and we’ll take it from there.

  • Enquiries pile up and quotes go out late.

Automation can log every enquiry, draft the reply and chase the quote — see AI automations.

  • The phone rings more than you can answer.

An AI voice agent answers politely, takes the details and books the job, day or night — from £95/month, whether you have a front desk or you’re the one up a ladder.

  • Someone retypes the same information all day.

Data entry between systems is the first thing automation removes.

  • Documents arrive half-finished and someone has to chase.

An automation can read what came in, spot what’s missing and request it.

  • Reports take a day to assemble.

Automated reporting pulls the numbers together on schedule, the same way every time.

  • Your systems don’t talk to each other.

We connect them — with an AI agent where judgement is needed, plain automation where it isn’t.

  • Not sure where AI fits?

That’s a perfectly good place to start. AI consultancy starts from your processes, not a product.

/03 — WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE ON A TUESDAY

What this looks like on a Tuesday

A customer rings at two o’clock while you’re under a floor. The AI answers in your business’s name, takes their name, number and what the job is, and books a callback. By the time you’re back at the van, the details are on your phone as a text and an email — and a draft quote is waiting for you to check that evening. No special software needed: if all you’ve got is a mobile and a paper diary, the details simply come to your phone.

Three rules apply to everything we build: callers always know they’re talking to an AI, nothing important goes out without your say-so, and every action is logged so you can check its work.

/04 — FIVE WAYS WE PUT AI TO WORK

Five ways we put AI to work

  • AI automations

joined-up workflows that move information between your systems automatically, with AI used only for the steps that genuinely need it.

  • AI agents

software that can read, decide and act across several systems to complete a whole task, with human approval where it matters.

  • AI voice agents

a natural-sounding assistant that answers your phone, takes messages and books appointments, so callers never hit voicemail.

  • AI consultancy

a structured look at where AI genuinely helps your business, and where it doesn’t.

  • AI training

practical sessions so your team can use AI tools confidently and safely.

/05 — HOW WE WORK: FROM PROBLEM TO RUNNING SYSTEM

How we work: from problem to running system

Every project follows the same six steps. Problem — you describe the job in your own words. Scope — we map it and quote the build by complexity, so you see the full figure before anything starts. Build — we design and build the system, testing it against real examples from your business. Safeguard — approval steps, records and sensible limits go in before it goes live. Measure — we agree what “working” means and check against it. Support — your monthly service keeps it hosted, monitored and up to date, with a local team who answer when something changes.

Commercially it’s two parts: a one-off design and build, quoted by complexity, plus a monthly service subscription that keeps the system running and watched. No tiers, no surprises.

/06 — WORKS WITH THE SYSTEMS YOU ALREADY USE

Works with the systems you already use

We connect AI and automation to the tools businesses already run: Microsoft 365 and Outlook, email, calendars, customer-list systems (CRMs), accounting software like Sage or Xero, booking systems and phone systems — and the results can land as a plain text or email to your phone. We won’t show you a wall of logos. The honest answer is that if a system offers a way in, we can usually connect it — and if it doesn’t, we’ll tell you at scoping, not after you’ve paid for a build.

/07 — A HUMAN STAYS IN CHARGE

A human stays in charge

AI is used only for the steps where it genuinely helps — reading a message, drafting a reply, spotting what’s missing. Everything else runs on plain rule-based automation — software that behaves exactly the same way every time. For consequential actions — sending a quote, changing a booking, contacting a customer — we can add a human approval step, so nothing important happens without someone on your team saying yes. Every system keeps a record of what it did, so you can always check its work.

/08 — PROOF YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE

Proof you can actually see

We’d rather show you than tell you. The 365 AI OS is a working Claude-powered AI desktop we built, with a live demo on this site — a scripted demonstration, and honestly labelled as one. Beyond the demo, the automations we sell are the ones we run in our own business every day: booking automation, review-request automation, SMS scheduling and Slack-connected workflows, alongside our own 365 PC Manager Windows app, a live customer portal and real-time monitoring dashboards. We haven’t published AI customer case studies yet, and we won’t invent any — what you see running is what we actually built. The full list, with dates, is on the AI case studies page.

/09 — WHERE OUR PROOF ALREADY LIVES

Where our proof already lives

Three kinds of business map straight onto systems we already run or have built:

  • Trades and service businesses

booking, quoting, reminders and follow-up automation is exactly what we run for ourselves.

  • Marine and off-grid energy

we’re a Victron Recommended Software Integrator, building live telemetry dashboards for boats and vehicles.

  • Office-based firms

document handling, reporting and Microsoft 365 automation, delivered by a Microsoft Partner.

/10 — WHAT SHAPES YOUR QUOTE

What shapes your quote

Build quotes are set by complexity, not a rate card — and smaller really is cheaper: a one-person business connecting one or two everyday tools sits at the simplest end of the scale. The main factors: how many systems we’re connecting, how much volume flows through them, whether a human approval step is needed, how tidy your existing data is, and whether your team needs a screen to work in or something that runs quietly in the background. Scoping settles all of this before you commit — request an AI quote and we’ll come back with a figure you can plan around.

/11 — NOT READY TO TALK YET?

Not ready to talk yet?

Fair enough. see the AI we use ourselves in the live AI OS demo (nothing to install), browse our free online tools, or look at AI training if you’d rather build confidence in-house first. When a job in your business starts to look automatable, you’ll know where we are. And if you’re one of our home customers, simply curious what AI could do for you — letters, planning, staying safe from AI scams — the free AI for Beginners course was written exactly for you, and there’s nothing to buy at the end. /12 — TELL US WHAT'S WASTING YOUR TEAM'S TIME

Tell us what’s wasting your team’s time

You don’t need a specification, a budget or the right vocabulary — just describe the job that eats your team’s week. We’ll tell you honestly whether AI helps, what plain automation could do instead, and what a build would cost if it does. Talk to us about AI — a real conversation with the local team that would actually build it.

// SERVICE & BUILD

Monthly service — confirmed with your quote

One-off design & build — quoted by complexity Two parts, no tiers: a one-off build, quoted in full before any work starts, plus a monthly subscription that keeps it hosted, monitored and supported. You see both figures in writing before you decide anything.

// GOOD QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

How much does AI automation actually cost?

Every AI service has two parts: a one-off design and build, quoted by complexity once we’ve scoped the job, and a monthly service subscription covering hosting, monitoring, updates and support — confirmed with your quote. You see the full figure before anything is built, and if the honest answer is that automation won’t pay for itself in your case, we’ll say so.

Do we need to be technical to use any of this?

No. You describe the problem in plain English; we choose the technology, build it and run it. You never have to pick between tools or learn the jargon. If your team wants to get more from AI tools themselves, our AI training covers that side.

What happens when the AI gets something wrong?

We plan for it rather than pretend it won’t happen. AI handles only the steps where it genuinely helps; predictable, deterministic automation does the rest. Consequential actions can require human approval before they happen, every system keeps a record of what it did, and monitoring is part of your monthly service — so problems are caught and fixed by a local team, not lost in a ticket queue.

Will it work with the software we already use?

Usually, yes. We routinely connect Microsoft 365, email, calendars, CRMs, accounting packages, booking systems and phone systems. We check exactly what your systems allow during scoping and tell you before you spend anything — not after.

Can we see it working before we commit to anything?

Yes. The 365 AI OS demo runs live on this site — it’s a scripted demonstration and clearly labelled as one. Beyond that, our strongest evidence is that we run these automations in our own business every day: bookings, review requests, SMS scheduling and Slack-connected workflows all run on systems we built ourselves.

Where does our data go?

It depends on the build, and we map it with you at scoping: which systems hold your data, which steps an AI model actually sees, and what stays entirely inside your existing accounts. Nothing goes live until you know exactly what connects to what — data protection is part of the design conversation from the start, not an afterthought.

Start with the problem, not the technology

Tell us what eats your team’s week — we’ll show you what a connected, human-controlled automation would change, and exactly how the scope is priced.
