AI & Automation
AI that fits the way your industry works
The same automation building blocks land very differently in an accountancy practice, a heating firm and a marine workshop. Here’s where they fit the work you actually do — and where our proof comes from.

/01 — START WITH THE WORKFLOW, NOT THE TECHNOLOGY
Start with the workflow, not the technology
Every page in our AI services section works the same way: you describe a job that eats your team’s time, and we work out which parts a computer should do. Sometimes that means AI — reading a document, drafting a reply, answering a phone call. Just as often it means plain, deterministic automation: rules that fire the same way every time, with no guesswork involved. We use AI only for the steps where it genuinely helps, and we’ll tell you which is which.
The three lanes below are where the workflows we build show up most often in Dorset businesses. You don’t need to pick a technology, and your business doesn’t need to match a lane exactly — the patterns travel well.
/02 — PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS SERVICES
Professional and business services
Accountancy practices, legal firms, agencies and consultancies run on documents, deadlines and client communication — and most of the wasted time sits in the gaps between them. Chasing clients for records ahead of a filing deadline. Copying details from an email into a practice management system. Writing the same status update for the tenth time this week.
Typical systems we connect to: Microsoft 365 and Outlook, practice or case management software, and accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage. What changes when the workflow is automated:
Document chasing runs itself
polite, scheduled reminders that stop the moment the client responds.
Deadlines drive the diary
work is queued and flagged from real dates, not from someone remembering.
Routine drafts arrive ready for review
an AI agent prepares the email or summary; a person approves it before anything is sent.
Evidence status, honestly: we have no client case studies in this lane yet. What we can show you is the same pattern running in our own business — automated booking confirmations, review requests and follow-ups that go out every day without anyone touching them.
/03 — PROPERTY, TRADES AND FIELD SERVICES
Property, trades and field services
Estate and lettings agents, builders, plumbers, electricians, heating engineers, landscapers — businesses where the person who wins the work is also up a ladder when the phone rings. The expensive problems are familiar: missed calls that become someone else’s customer, quotes that never get a follow-up, job sheets that live on paper until Friday night.
Typical systems: a mobile phone, WhatsApp, a shared calendar, and often a job management app. What changes:
Missed calls get answered
an AI voice agent takes the caller’s details, explains when you’ll call back, and can book an appointment straight into your diary.
Quotes are followed up on a schedule
a courteous nudge at the right interval, stopped automatically when the customer replies.
Job details reach the office the same day
photos and notes from site filed against the right job, not lost in a message thread.
Evidence status: no trade-customer case studies yet either. But the booking automation, SMS scheduling and abandoned-enquiry follow-ups described here are the exact systems we built for ourselves and run in production every day.
/04 — MANUFACTURING, ENGINEERING, MARINE AND ENERGY SERVICES
Manufacturing, engineering, marine and energy services
Workshops, engineering firms, marine services and off-grid energy installers share a shape: physical assets, service history, and equipment that tells you things — if anything is listening. Job cards get filled in from memory. A machine’s history lives in three heads and a filing cabinet. Faults are discovered by the customer rather than by the readings.
This is the lane where our evidence is strongest, and we’ll say so plainly: 365 Techies is a Victron Recommended Software Integrator, and we build and run live telemetry dashboards for marine and off-grid energy systems — real battery, solar and power data from real installations, presented so a person can act on it. The same approach extends to service intelligence for other equipment:
Job cards become searchable history
every visit, part and reading filed against the asset, so the next engineer starts informed.
Telemetry raises the flag first
dashboards and alerts built from live readings, so servicing is triggered by evidence rather than the calendar alone.
Reports write their own first draft
service summaries assembled from the data, checked by an engineer before they go out.
/05 — WHERE OUR PROOF COMES FROM
Where our proof comes from
We’re not going to show you invented case studies, and the honest position is that our AI services are new enough that named customer stories don’t exist yet. What does exist: the automations we run in our own business every day — bookings, reminders, review requests, Slack-connected workflows — the monitoring dashboards behind our Victron integrator work, and the 365 AI OS demo, a scripted demonstration of a Claude-powered AI desktop we built, labelled honestly as exactly that. Judge us on working systems you can see, not on claims.

The next step is one workflow
Pick the single workflow that wastes the most time in your business — the chasing, the missed calls, the job cards — and tell us about it. We’ll come back with a plain-English plan, a clear line showing what stays human, and a quote. Every AI service runs as a monthly subscription with the design and build quoted separately by complexity, supported by the same local team that looks after your IT.

Frequently asked
Can you help if my business is not in one of these industries?
Almost certainly. The lanes above are where the work shows up most often, not a boundary. The underlying workflows — chasing, scheduling, answering, filing, reporting — repeat across nearly every small business. Describe yours and we’ll tell you honestly whether automation would help.
Do you have AI case studies for my industry?
Not yet, and we won’t invent any. What we can show you today: the automations we run in our own business every day, genuine telemetry work in the marine and energy lane as a Victron Recommended Software Integrator, and the 365 AI OS demo. As projects complete and clients agree to be named, case studies will appear here.
Will we have to replace our existing software?
Usually not. Most of what we build connects to the systems you already run — Microsoft 365, your accounting package, your job or case management software — and automates the gaps between them. If a tool genuinely needs replacing, we’ll say so and explain why.
How is this priced?
Every AI service is a monthly service subscription, with the one-off design and build quoted by complexity — so you see the full picture before anything starts. AI Voice Agents has published pricing on its own page; for everything else, your quote confirms the monthly figure.
Will AI act without a human checking it?
Not where it matters. We design workflows so consequential actions — sending a quote, replying to a client, committing to a booking — can wait for human approval, while the routine steps run automatically. You decide where that line sits, and it can move as your confidence grows.
Do you cover businesses outside Bournemouth?
Yes. We’re based in Bournemouth and work across Poole, Christchurch and the wider Dorset area, with remote delivery UK-wide where it suits the work. Most automation projects are built and supported remotely in any case, with the same family-run team — trading since 1995 — accountable for the result.
