The Latitude 3000 series (models such as the 3410, 3510 or 3520) is Dell’s entry-level business range. It hits a lower price by using more plastic in the chassis and simpler internals, so it feels a little less solid than a 5000.
That said, it’s still a proper business laptop — not a throwaway consumer model — so it’s a sensible, budget-friendly pick for light everyday use, a student, or a spare machine. If money is tight and you mostly browse, email and work in Office, a refurbished 3000 does the job well.

Latitude 7000 series — premium and portable
The Latitude 7000 series (models like the 7410 or 7420) is Dell’s premium business line. These are its premium thin-and-light models: smarter materials such as aluminium or carbon fibre, a lower weight, and often a nicer display than the mid-range models.
The trade-off is price. Even refurbished, a 7000 usually costs more than an equivalent 5000, and because they’re bought in smaller numbers they’re less common secondhand.
