// DELL REMOTE SUPPORT

Dell remote support, without anyone coming to you

Most Dell problems that aren’t physical — Windows glitches, email, drivers, setup and general slowness — can be fixed remotely, without anyone coming to your home or office. We connect to your Dell over a secure, watching-only session (you see every click), we always phone before we connect, and it ends the moment we’re done. It’s the fastest front door to a working Dell, often the same day you call.

// HOW IT WORKS

How a Dell remote support session actually works

Remote support means we connect to your Dell across the internet and work on it while you watch — no one has to come to your home or office, and you don’t have to unplug a thing. Here’s exactly how a session runs:

  • We phone first. We always call before we connect, so you know it’s us and we can talk the problem through together.
  • You open a secure session. We send you a one-time Splashtop SOS link; you click it and give permission — nothing installs quietly in the background.
  • It’s watching-only. You see every click and mouse move on your own screen, and you can pull the plug at any moment.
  • It ends when we’re done. The connection closes the second the job’s finished — we can’t reconnect without you starting a fresh session.

Because there’s no travel and no waiting for a callout slot, remote fixes are usually the fastest route to a working Dell — often the same day you ring.

// WHAT WE FIX

What we can fix on your Dell remotely

If the fault lives in software rather than hardware, there’s a very good chance we can sort it remotely. Common jobs include:

  • Windows that won’t update, freezes, or throws error messages
  • Email set-up and “it won’t send or receive” problems in Outlook and webmail
  • Slow Dells — startup clean-ups, bloatware removal and checking what’s hogging memory
  • Driver, Wi-Fi and printer gremlins
  • BIOS and firmware guidance (we talk you through the safe steps)
  • Fresh-Dell setup, data moves and software installs

Plenty of this you could try yourself with enough patience — but a wrong driver or a half-finished Windows update can turn a ten-minute fix into a lost afternoon. If you’d rather not gamble with it, that’s exactly what remote support is for.

// WHEN REMOTE ISN’T ENOUGH

What needs hands-on instead

Remote support is brilliant for software, but it can’t hold a screwdriver. Anything physical needs hands-on attention:

  • Cracked or black screens
  • Batteries that won’t hold charge
  • Broken charging ports or hinges
  • Failed keyboards, fans, or a Dell that won’t power on at all

For those we’ll switch you to a repair — no call-out fee, free local collection around Bournemouth and Poole, no-fix-no-fee, and a 12-month warranty on the work. Often a quick remote look first tells us whether it’s truly a hardware fault or something we can fix on the spot, saving you a repair altogether.

// SAFE & INDEPENDENT

Is it safe? And are you actually Dell?

Two things worth being straight about. First, safety: the session is watching-only, we phone before we connect, and it ends the moment the job’s done — we never leave anything running that lets us back in unannounced, and you can end it yourself at any time.

Second, who we are: 365 Techies is an independent Dell specialist with 25 years working on Dell machines — we are not Dell, not “Dell RemoteAssist”, and not a Dell-authorised or official warranty service. That independence is the point: you get honest, plain-English remote IT support about your Dell, with no script and no upsell to a warranty you don’t need. We work on Windows and Android only.

// KEEP IT HEALTHY

Beyond a one-off fix: servicing and plans

A one-off remote fix gets you going again today. If you’d like to stop the same problems coming back, a support plan keeps your Dell watched over year-round:

  • Home plans from £18.25/month per computer — remote help when you need it, plus a proactive health check every six weeks.
  • Business plans from £24.38/month per computer, with Microsoft 365 cover priced per plan.

These are 365 Techies’ own independent plans — not a Dell warranty or ProSupport contract. And if a session shows your Dell is simply past its best, we sell professionally refurbished business-grade Dell laptops from £510 and desktops from £545, tested and ready to go. Whichever way it lands, we’ll tell you honestly what’s worth doing.

// GOOD QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

Can you really fix my Dell remotely?

In most cases, yes. If the problem is software — Windows, email, drivers, setup or general slowness — we can usually fix it over a secure, watching-only remote session without anyone visiting. Physical faults like screens and batteries are the exception and need a hands-on repair.

Is Dell remote support safe?

Yes. We always phone before we connect, the session is watching-only so you see every click on your own screen, and it ends the moment we’re finished — nothing stays running that would let us reconnect on our own. You stay in control from start to finish, and you can end the session yourself at any time.

How much does remote support cost?

Remote help is included in our monthly support plans — home from £18.25/month per computer, business from £24.38 — which is the best value if you’d like ongoing cover. For a one-off session, remote fixes start from £20 — call 365 Techies on 01202 775566 and we’ll quote the exact price before we start. We’re not VAT registered, so the price you’re told is the price you pay.

What can’t be fixed remotely?

Anything physical — a cracked screen, a dead battery, a broken charging port, or a Dell that won’t switch on. For those we’ll arrange a repair with free local collection around Bournemouth and Poole, no call-out fee, and a 12-month warranty on the work.

Are you Dell, or is this ‘Dell RemoteAssist’?

No — we’re an independent Dell specialist, not Dell itself and not a Dell-authorised or official warranty service. 365 Techies has spent 25 years working on Dell laptops and desktops, so you get straight, independent advice rather than a call-centre script.

Do you offer remote support outside Bournemouth?

Yes. Remote support works anywhere in the UK with an internet connection, so where you are doesn’t matter for a software fix. For hands-on repairs and collections we cover Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the wider Dorset area.
