What we check

• Security — whether real protection is running and up to date, whether Windows itself is still supported (Windows 10 left support in October 2025), whether the accounts that matter (email, Microsoft 365, banking) sit behind multi-factor authentication, and whether anything is on the machine that should not be.
• Backups — not whether a backup was set up once, but whether it is still running, what it covers (photos, documents, email, Microsoft 365) and whether a file could actually be restored today.
• Updates — Windows, browsers, Office and the drivers that keep printers and Wi-Fi working, plus any software that has quietly gone out of support.
• Performance — what is slowing it down (a full or failing drive, too little memory, start-up clutter) and whether it is worth fixing or the machine is near the end of its road.

How it works

For a Windows PC we do it remotely. We ring you first, you sit at the computer, and we look together through our encrypted remote-support tool. Nothing is installed without asking and nothing is changed without telling you. We do not need your passwords: you type them in yourself if something needs signing into.

For a business it usually starts with a conversation before we look at any machine. What you rely on, where your data lives, who holds the admin account for Microsoft 365, and what would happen tomorrow if a laptop was lost or an email account was taken over.
