The Two-Site Problem
Your business runs in two places at once
A construction firm isn't like a normal office. Half your team is at a desk running estimates, drawings, programmes and payment applications — and half is on a site that might be a field, a fit-out, or a half-built unit with no landline, patchy mobile signal and a compound cabin for a boardroom. IT has to work in both places, and the two have to talk to each other.
That's exactly the gap we fill. We keep the office kit and the software your quantity surveyors, estimators and site managers rely on running properly, and we get your people reliable connectivity and access to the same files whether they're at HQ or in a Portakabin. When a drawing needs to be on someone's tablet on site this morning, it's there — the right version, safely backed up, not emailed around as final_v7.
- Office: CAD, estimating, project management, accounts and payroll kept fast and available
- Site: 4G/5G routers and, where the mast won't reach, Starlink for genuinely remote sites
- Both: Microsoft 365, shared files and email that stay in sync across teams and devices
What We Handle
The construction-specific IT we look after
We support the whole firm — the systems, connectivity, devices, security and Microsoft 365 that keep an office and its sites moving. In plain terms, that means:
- Reliable site connectivity — 4G/5G routers for compounds and cabins, and Starlink where there's no usable signal at all, so a new site isn't dead for a fortnight waiting on a line
- Mobile working across office and site — laptops, tablets and phones set up so managers can pull up drawings, sign off deliveries and file reports from wherever the job is
- Keeping your software running — estimating, project/programme, CAD, and accounts packages installed, updated, licensed and unstuck when they throw an error before a deadline
- Cybersecurity and backups — protecting drawings, contracts, tender documents and client data from ransomware and email scams, with verified backups so a lost or stolen site laptop is an inconvenience, not a disaster
- Rugged and BYOD device support — we help you manage the mix of company kit and staff-owned phones that inevitably ends up on site, with sensible security around company data
- Microsoft 365 and shared files — email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive set up so the whole team works from one tidy, current set of files
Getting Started
How we get a construction firm set up
You don't need to rip anything out to work with us. We start where you are and fix the things that hurt most first. A typical onboarding runs like this:
- A quick chat. Book a call and tell us how you're set up — how many in the office, how many sites, what software you live in and where the pain is right now.
- We map office and sites. We look at your machines, connectivity, Microsoft 365, files and backups so we understand the whole picture, HQ and the field.
- We stabilise the essentials. Backups verified, security tightened, email and shared files sorted, and any flaky site connectivity put on a proper footing.
- You go onto a simple monthly plan. Per computer, from £24.38/month, rolling monthly with no long lock-in — so your IT cost scales with the size of the firm, not a fixed contract.
- We're there when a site kicks off. New job starting? Tell us and we sort connectivity, devices and access for the new team before day one.

// GOOD QUESTIONS
Frequently asked
Can you get us connected on a remote site with no broadband?
Usually, yes. For most sites a 4G or 5G router in the compound or cabin gives you a solid working connection. Where there's genuinely no usable mobile signal, Starlink satellite gives you proper broadband almost anywhere. We'll advise on the right option for each site and get it running.
Do you support our CAD, estimating and project software?
We keep the kit and systems around that software running — installing, updating, licensing and troubleshooting your estimating, project/programme, CAD and accounts packages so they stay fast and available. We're not the software vendor, but we're who you call when it won't open or throws an error before a deadline. Please note we specialise in Windows and Android, not Apple Macs.
How do you protect our drawings, contracts and client data?
With layered security and verified backups. We put proper protection around email and devices to help block ransomware and scams, keep off-site backups of your drawings, contracts and files so nothing is lost to a failed drive or a stolen site laptop, and help you meet the data-handling duties that come with holding client and project information. If a contract asks for Cyber Essentials, we can help you prepare for it too.
Our staff use their own phones on site — is that a problem?
It's very common in construction and we can help you manage it safely. We help you put sensible controls around company data on staff-owned phones and tablets (BYOD), so people can access what they need on site without your drawings and emails walking out the door if a phone is lost or someone leaves.
How much does it cost for a firm with an office and a few sites?
Our business IT support is priced per computer, from £24.38 per month, plus Microsoft 365 from £4.85 per user per month if you need it. That means the cost scales with the size of your firm rather than a fixed lump. It's rolling monthly with no long lock-in contract — book a call and we'll give you a clear figure for your setup.
Do you actually come to site, or is it all remote?
Both. Most day-to-day issues we fix in minutes remotely — we connect with your permission, you watch, and access ends when we're done. When something needs hands on the kit, we come out across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and the wider Dorset area. We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and aim to help the same day.
