A small family team, since 1995

365 Techies has been a family-run business since 1995. There is no call centre and no script: when you ring 01202 775566 you reach one of the same few people who looked after you last time, who knows how your computer is set up and what you use it for. Many of our customers have been with us for fifteen or twenty years, and some since the dial-up days.

We look after homes, families, retired and disabled people, sole traders and small businesses across Dorset, and remotely across the UK and Europe. Windows PCs and Android are what we specialise in; we don’t support Apple Macs, iPads or iPhones.

What you can expect from us

Plain English, patience, and no such thing as a silly question. We explain what is wrong and what we are going to do about it before we do it. Before any remote session or a full service we ring you first, so you are never surprised by someone connecting to your computer; if we are coming out to you, we ring on the way with a time. If your backup is due, we can remind you by text to plug the drive in.

Every monthly plan includes a full service every six weeks, done remotely, which is how we come to know each customer’s setup so well: we see the same computers every six weeks, year after year, and we notice when something is not right before you do.

Where to find us

We are based at the Kinson Community Centre in Bournemouth, where we run our classes and occasional open days and meet customers by appointment. We are not a walk-in shop: most support is done remotely, we come to you for anything hands-on, repairs are collected free locally, and if you are choosing a Dell we bring it to your home or business so you can try it before you decide.

Want to put faces to names? We’re happy to introduce the team — just get in touch.

// HOW WE LOOK AFTER YOU

How we work, on every job

  • We call before we connect

Before any remote session or full computer service, we phone you first to check you’re ready — we never connect out of the blue.

  • We call when we’re on our way

For home and business visits we phone ahead to say we’re on our way and give you an estimated arrival time — so you know exactly when to expect us.

  • Backup reminders by text

We set your backup to run daily, weekly or monthly, whichever suits you. If you’d like, we’ll text you a reminder to plug your backup drive in, timed to when it runs.

  • The same friendly faces

Because we’re a family team, you deal with people who get to know you. We remember how you like your computer set up, especially as we service it every six weeks.

// WHERE WE HAVE BEEN

The same team, four addresses

  1. 01

    1995: a family business begins

Home and small-business computer support in Bournemouth, back when Windows 95 was new and email came down a phone line. Some of the customers from those years are still with us.

  2. 02

1998 to 2008: the training centre

We built and ran the Dorset Microsoft Education Resource Centre in Winton on a network we designed ourselves, and were the IT support partner for Mercedes-Benz Pentagon across the south coast. Supporting so many garages is why we started doing remote support in 2001, and why we still do it every day.

  3. 03

2008 to 2017: the Moordown shop

A busy computer sales, service and support centre in Moordown, Winton: a wall of refurbished Dell laptops, a bench of PCs, and the same phone number we answer today.

  4. 04

2017 to today: Kinson Community Centre

Our base for classes, open days and meetings by appointment. Most support is now remote, we come to you for anything hands-on, and repairs are collected free locally.
