This is 365 Invaders, our own eighties arcade game, from 365 Techies. It’s free, there’s nothing to install, and there are no adverts. Stop the invaders before they reach the ground, and catch the falling capsules for a spread shot, rapid fire or a shield. Hit six in a row for double points, then triple, then four times. There are three speeds. Gentle is slower, with five lives, and Fast is for experts. Every fifth wave, the Mothership arrives. Keep hitting it until it goes. Fancy the plain eighties look? Why there are no adverts, and never will be
We’re 365 Techies, a family-run computer support company in Bournemouth, looking after people’s computers since 1995. Lots of our customers love a game of cards, and too many of the free ones are wrapped in adverts — pop-ups between games, videos you have to sit through, buttons that are really adverts. So we made our own.
There are no adverts, nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for — just the game. We’re paid for looking after computers, not for your attention, so there’s nothing to sell you here. If your computer ever plays up, that’s what we do: 01202 775566.
/03 — HOW TO PLAY
How to play 365 Invaders
- The aim: shoot every invader before they reach the ground. Clear them all and a new wave comes, starting a little lower.
- Move with the arrow keys (or A and D), or just move the mouse. On a tablet or phone, use the ◀ ▶ buttons or drag on the screen.
- Fire with the Space bar, a click or the Fire button. One shot at a time, so make each one count.
- Hide behind the green shields. They wear away when they’re hit, from either side.
- Points: 10, 20 or 30 for an invader (the higher up, the more) and 50 to 300 for the red mystery ship across the top. An extra life at 1,500 points.
P pauses, and the game pauses itself if you click away to another window.
/04 — ENHANCED OR RETRO
Capsules, combos and the Mothership — or the plain 80s game
- Capsules sometimes fall when an invader is hit. Catch one with your ship: R rapid fire (two quicker shots), S a spread shot (three at once), + a shield bubble that takes one hit.
- Combos: hit six in a row without missing for double points, then triple and four times. A miss starts it again.
- The Mothership arrives every fifth wave. Keep hitting it and watch its bar at the top. A wave cleared without losing a ship is worth 500 more, and after the first extra life there’s another every 5,000 points.
- Retro (in Settings) is the plain game, without the extras — the look of an 80s arcade screen.
Three speeds: Gentle is slower with five lives, Classic is the old arcade pace and Fast is for experts.
/05 — HIGH SCORES
A Hall of Fame for every speed
- The Hall of Fame — a board for each speed: today, this week, all time and your town. Finish with a good score and you can put your initials and town on it, if you like. The title screen shows today’s top score to beat.
- Challenge a friend — when the game ends, send the link and see if they can beat your score.
- My scores and trophies — games played, your best and today’s best, kept in your browser, with a trophy cabinet shared by all our games. To carry your scores to another device, use Keep my scores.

Each score is checked against how long the game lasted, so nobody can simply make one up, and the title screen shows today’s top score to beat.
