Refurbished Dell Latitude 7000 Series
The Latitude 7000 is Dell’s premium lightweight business tier — and because so many come off corporate fleets, a refurbished one can actually cost less than a newer mid-range 5000. Every machine we sell gets 16GB of RAM, a new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD, Windows 11 Home or Pro, professionally set up and our 5-year guarantee, with setup and your data moved across included in the price.

What the Latitude 7000 tier actually is
The Latitude 7000 series is Dell’s premium business laptop tier — the machines large firms buy for directors and frequent travellers, sitting above the budget 3000 and mainstream 5000 lines. The headline difference is weight: most 7000s weigh around 1.2 kg, and the featherweight 7330 Ultralight is just 0.967 kg — against roughly 1.4 kg for a 14-inch 5000-series machine such as the 5420. Every model also carries two Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C ports, so one cable handles charging, monitors and docking.
Here’s the part that surprises people: bought refurbished, a 7000 often costs less than a newer 5000. These were expensive fleet laptops bought in volume, and when the corporate leases end they reach the used market in large numbers — so yesterday’s premium compact becomes today’s quiet bargain.
Two honest caveats before you fall for one: there’s no Ethernet port on any model (a USB-C adapter or dock sorts that in seconds), and the memory can never be upgraded — more on that below, because it’s the single rule that governs the whole series.

The 13th-gen Latitude 7440 (and the featherweight 7330 Ultralight) take the small M.2 2230 drive size only, so we fit a quality NVMe equivalent and quote those individually — call 01202 775566. Exact prices depend on the machine in stock and its grade.
// THE LINE-UP
Four models we price, one we quote
Every typical price below includes 16GB of RAM, a new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD, Windows 11 Home or Pro, professionally set up, setup and your data moved across — nothing added at the till.
- Latitude 7320 (13.3-inch, 11th-gen) — the smallest, lightest way in: typically from £520.
- Latitude 7420 (14-inch, 11th-gen) — the same platform with a roomier screen: typically £520.
- Latitude 7330 (13.3-inch, 12th-gen) — ten CPU cores in a genuinely tiny laptop: typically £560.
- Latitude 7430 (14-inch, 12th-gen) — our value pick: modern 10-core pace, the bigger screen and full-speed storage: typically £570.
The newest model, the Latitude 7440 (14-inch, 13th-gen), we quote individually. It takes only the small M.2 2230 drive size, so it gets a different (equally good) SSD, and its price moves with stock.
The exact price always depends on the machine in stock and its grade — we grade A, B or C by looks only, and every grade is fully tested and working. Call 01202 775566 for today’s price.

The soldered-RAM rule — the one thing you must get right
Here is the single most important 7000-series buying rule: the RAM is soldered to the motherboard on every model, in every configuration. There are no memory slots anywhere in the range. The RAM a machine has on the day you buy it is the RAM it keeps for ever.
That’s exactly why we stock 16GB as standard and steer customers away from 8GB units entirely. An 8GB 7000 can look like a bargain online, but it can never grow — and 8GB is already tight for Windows 11 with a browser full of tabs. A 16GB machine stays comfortable for years; 32GB units exist for heavy multitaskers, and that’s the maximum across the whole series.
Compare that with the Latitude 5000 series, where the memory upgrades in the normal way. If you want a laptop you can open up and expand later, buy a 5000. If you want the lightest machine and get the spec right on day one, the 7000 is a lovely thing to live with. We’ll always tell you honestly which side of that line you’re on before you spend a penny.

Why a 12th-gen i5 beats an 11th-gen i7
The 2021 models (7320 and 7420) use 11th-gen Intel chips with four cores. The 2022 models (7330 and 7430) jump to 12th-gen chips with ten cores — and that upends the usual badge logic. A 12th-gen i5 comfortably outruns even an 11th-gen i7 in multi-core work, so don’t pay extra for an older i7 sticker: the newer i5 is the faster laptop.
Our plain-English steer:
- Email, web, Office, video calls — an 11th-gen 7320 or 7420 is genuinely quick and the best value in the range.
- Most buyers’ sweet spot — the 12th-gen i5 in the 7330 or 7430: ten cores, excellent battery life, and a big real-world speed-up over the 2021 machines.
- Power users — the 7430 also shipped with faster 28-watt P-series chips, and the 13th-gen 7440 tops the whole range for outright pace; ask and we’ll quote what’s in stock.
One honest note: batteries are a wear item on any refurbished laptop, and the smaller base batteries give the shortest runtimes — we test every unit and tell you exactly what it carries.
// STORAGE
A new Samsung 990 PRO in every one — with honest speed notes
Every 7000 we sell is fitted with a brand-new Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD — 1TB as standard, covered by Samsung’s own 5-year guarantee. Want more room? 2TB is +£185 and 4TB is +£420 at fitting time.
Now the honesty bit, because the models differ:
- 7330 and 7430 — the drive slot is PCIe Gen4, so the 990 PRO runs at its full speed.
- 7320 and 7420 — the slot is PCIe Gen3, so the drive caps at around 3.5 GB/s. That’s still an enormous real-world upgrade over the tired original drives these arrive with — and we fit the PRO for its endurance and that 5-year Samsung guarantee, not the headline speed figure.
- 7440, and the featherweight 7330 Ultralight — these take only the small M.2 2230 drive size, which Samsung’s retail PRO drives don’t come in. We fit a quality NVMe drive of the equivalent class instead, and we’ll tell you exactly which drive is going in before you buy.
Whichever model you choose, the old drive is securely wiped, Windows 11 goes on clean and licensed, and moving your files across is included in the price — never an extra.
// REFURB VS NEW
Why a refurbished 7000 instead of a new ultrabook
A new consumer ultrabook at around £520 typically means entry-level parts, a basic screen and a one-year warranty. A refurbished Latitude 7000 at the same money buys a machine that sold as premium business kit when new — genuinely light, with business-grade ports, security hardware and a new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO fitted by us.
What you get from us that a marketplace seller won’t give you:
- A new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD in every machine, not the original worn drive.
- Clean licensed Windows 11, securely wiped and fully tested before it leaves us.
- Our 5-year guarantee on the laptop while you’re on a 365 support plan (12 months return-to-base otherwise), on top of Samsung’s 5-year guarantee on the drive.
- Setup and your data moved across included — it arrives ready to work, not ready to configure.
- A local firm you can actually call — family-run since 1995, Dell resellers since 2001, rated 4.9 on Google, based in Kinson, Bournemouth, with UK-wide delivery.
And we’re deliberately independent rather than a Dell Authorised Service Provider — we answer to you, not to a franchise agreement.
// STRAIGHT ANSWER
Why do computers cost more than last year?
In short: the memory chips inside every computer have shot up in price. AI data centres are buying storage and memory at a scale the industry has never seen, and that demand has pushed up the price of the NAND flash chips inside every SSD — for everyone, on every brand, new and refurbished alike.
We fit a brand-new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO in every machine we sell rather than a tired old drive — and that one part now costs around £230 at UK retailers. We’d rather explain the price honestly than quietly fit a cheaper, slower drive.
The upside: a refurbished business-grade Dell is the best answer to rising prices — the chassis, screen and board are already made, so your money goes on the parts that matter. The full story is on our why computer prices have gone up page.
// SETUP · GUARANTEE · SUPPORT
Every machine set up properly — then choose your cover
Every computer is professionally set up by 365 Techies with Windows 11 Home or Pro (your choice) and your data moved across — that’s included. Then pick how looked-after you want to be:
| Feature | Machine only | + £49 Setup Pack | On a 365 support plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Included in the price | One-off £49 | Home £18.25/month per computer · business from £24.38 |
| Guarantee | 12-month return-to-base | 12-month return-to-base | 5 years — for as long as you’re on the plan |
| Setup | Windows 11 Home or Pro, data moved across | Tailored home or business setup — email, printers, accounts, the lot | Tailored setup, then kept right |
| Support | Pay-as-you-go remote help from £20 | 30 days of remote support included | Help as often as you need it — we always phone first |
| Servicing | — | A full service after your first 30 days | A full service every 6 weeks, with a written Service Report emailed to you each time |
| Best for | Confident users | A properly settled-in start | Never worrying about your computer again |
Our honest advice: the support plan is the best value of the three — and not because we sell it. The guarantee alone is five times longer, problems get caught at the six-weekly service before they cost you a morning, your backups are actually checked rather than assumed, and one avoided emergency pays for months of cover. Plans are rolling monthly with no lock-in — see home plans and business plans, or add Microsoft 365 to a home plan at £4.85 per user, per month.

Every model in detail
Every machine comes with 16GB fitted. Want 32GB? Guide upgrade: +£176 on laptops and Micro desktops, +£210 on SFF/Tower desktops (2×16GB, fitted). One honest heads-up: memory prices are moving unusually fast right now (the same AI data-centre demand behind rising computer prices), so we confirm RAM upgrade pricing at quote time. Note the Latitude 7000 series has soldered memory — it can’t be upgraded later, so pick the size you’ll ever need up front.

// GOOD QUESTIONS
Frequently asked
Why is a refurbished Latitude 7000 sometimes cheaper than a 5000?
Supply. The 7000 was the premium tier big companies bought in volume for senior staff, and when those fleet leases end the machines reach the used market in large numbers. An older premium compact is often more plentiful than a newer mid-range 5000 — so the lighter, nicer laptop can carry the smaller price tag. Our series explainer covers the full picture.
Can I add more RAM to a Latitude 7000 later?
No — and this is the most important thing to know about the series. The RAM is soldered on every 7000 model, with no memory slots at all, so the RAM it has is the RAM it keeps for ever. That’s why we stock 16GB as standard and won’t recommend 8GB units. The series maximum is 32GB, factory-fitted only.
Is 16GB enough?
For almost everyone, yes — comfortable for Windows 11, Office, dozens of browser tabs and video calls, for years to come. Because it can never be upgraded, 16GB is the sensible minimum; if you run heavyweight multitasking all day, ask us about 32GB units when they’re in stock.
Should I pay more for an i7?
Not automatically. The 11th-gen models (7320/7420) are all four-core chips, and a 12th-gen i5 (7330/7430) with ten cores comfortably beats an 11th-gen i7 in multi-core work. Pay for the newer generation, not the badge — we’ll tell you straight which chip in stock is actually the faster one.
Does the Samsung 990 PRO run at full speed in every model?
Honestly, no. In the 7330 and 7430 the slot is PCIe Gen4, so it runs flat out. In the 7320 and 7420 the slot is Gen3, so the drive caps at around 3.5 GB/s — still a huge real-world upgrade, and the PRO’s endurance and Samsung 5-year guarantee are the reason we fit it regardless.
Why don’t you publish a price for the Latitude 7440?
The 7440 takes only the small M.2 2230 drive size — Samsung’s retail PRO drives are the longer 2280 shape and physically don’t fit. We fit a quality NVMe drive of the equivalent class and quote each 7440 individually, so the price reflects the exact unit and drive. Get in touch for a quote.
What do grades A, B and C mean?
Looks only — nothing else. Grade A is close to pristine, B has light signs of use, C shows honest wear. Every grade is securely wiped, fully tested and working, gets the same new Samsung SSD and the same 365 Techies 5-year guarantee. The grade changes the price, never the reliability.
What’s included in the price, and do you deliver?
16GB RAM, a new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO, Windows 11 Home or Pro, professionally set up, full testing, setup and your data moved across — all included, no extras at checkout. We’ll bring it to you locally and set it up, or deliver UK-wide. See the whole range at our refurbished Dell shop.
Why are refurbished laptops more expensive than they used to be?
Because the memory chips inside every computer have risen sharply in price — AI data centres are buying storage and memory at unprecedented scale, which has pushed up the cost of the SSDs we fit. The brand-new 1TB Samsung 990 PRO in every machine now costs around £230 on its own. Refurbished business-grade Dell remains the best-value response: the full story is on our why computer prices have gone up page.
